What have you been doing lately? I’ll let you know what I’ve been doing…straight fucking grinding. I don’t think I’ve hustled like this in a long time. Anyway enough about me what shows have you been watching? I’m watching the following: Ice Road Truckers and Expedition Africa all on the History Channel. First of all, those history channel muthafukas need to shrink that logo down a bit. It’s so big and takes up a good portion of my screen while I’m watching the show. I know I’m watching it on the History Channel, I don’t need to be reminded the entire time. Anybody take a branding class? Fuck. Not to mention they have this 1990′s tech-like graphic bar that tells me about some other show coming up next. I don’t give a fuck about the other show, I’m watching this one and you are blocking more of the screen. Between the gigantic logo and this Flash 3 banner I can’t see the show. If you haven’t seen any of the two shows I mentioned you need to check them out regardless of the branding cluster fuck. Now lets move onto Ice Truckers. Ice Truckers is about these insane dudes and one dudette that drive huge big rigs on the most deadliest road in the united states. I’m talking, ice, snow and other truckers all doped up on NoDoze. The show is crazy and stressful but awesome to watch. Expedition Africa is about these Type A-Alpha outdoor types retracing Dr. Livingstons’s expedition through Africa. The social dynamic is amazing and worth watching. Got any thoughts on the shows or have a show we should be watching? If you are still out there let’s discuss. (sound of cricketts)

You should vote Republican too. Fuck it, it might be awesome to see this whole shit storm we are in turn into some major shit hurricane. Just think how rad it would be to say that our vice president is some thing out of a bad “Disney Movie”. Besides, I’m over the environment, that shit is so 2007. I’m also into watching all the war footage on Fox and seeing things blow up from the safety of my home (which was bought through the awesomeness of deregulation).
I’m also super excited for the fact that Palin will be the next president in probably less than 2 years.

Instead of looking at the facts I’m voting based on my gut feeling.

It’s targeted mainly towards the fixie crowd and I sense it’s gathering steam like the ever popular “I hate emo’s” or the old war between metal and hardcore (circa 1980′s). A part of me blames skateboarding for the hate. Skateboarders are always on the edge. Trends begin and die with skateboarders (ie: cargo pants, new eras, nike). There has always been fixed gear bikes but it wasn’t until skateboarders accepted them that the rest of world decided to drop the gears and brakes and skid around town. I personally don’t care what type of bike you ride but I have been enjoying the entries from BikeSnobNYC. However…when I see photos of fixed dudes at skate spots doing some fruity tricks it makes me want to put a stick in their tri-spokes.

    • Trend websites (aka street wear blogs) are putting me to sleep or…maybe I just don’t get it anymore
    • Seeing Jonathan Adler on Top Design now makes me dislike his stuff. He’s annoying.
    • Do art schools teach students to think creatively or are art teachers so jaded they want every one to fail…in life?
    • Apple doesn’t care about the state of our environment cause they put out a new ipod or computer every few months. Why not institute a recycle program for all the crap they feed us?
    • I think I want to be a park ranger or a full time gardner
    • Every one should take 2 weeks off and do nothing but make sure you are doing nothing outside.
    • I saw a whale come out of the water while sitting on the beach. It was amazing.
    • Being negative in your writing is getting old. Just like this list. BUT…it’s more entertaining.

I bought it cause I’m one of those secret Howard Stern fans (have been since freshman year in college). Since getting the radio I’ve always battled with shitty reception and I mean shitty. I keep the radio in my car and it uses a FM transmitter (remember those iPod transmitters? This is worse). Every day for the last 4 months it has been getting terrible. It was getting so bad I began fantasizing of given the unit a straight upper cut. I came real close but my lady talked me down. I reached the final straw yesterday and decided to cancel my subscription. Of course when you call to cancel they try and talk you out of it. Basically the option they suggested would void my car warranty, fuck that. So now I’m back to “Free FM”. Sure I have NPR but I need some dumb humor as well. Here in LA I can listen to Adam Carolla but Danny Bonadush’ makes me want to steer my car into the divider going 90. I guess the other option is taking the car to the dealer and have them install the radio for $1000…yeah right. I guess shit could be worse. On another note check this.
