I think leaving GPS out was another pitfall. But what killed it for me was that you can't change SIM cards with it. They are under the battery which can't be removed either. I think being able to change phones & have a backup (weekend) phone is the best part of GSM. If it weren't for that I would be with Sprint by now. T-Mobile just doesn't have the coverage yet.
