Emos are fags. While some of you are wondering why there’s no nerd or geek beat down day you should be asking yourself why there’s no punk or goth beat down day. Emos are simply unbearable. The nice thing about punk is that it’s based on anger which is useful emotion. And goth was is almost as bad but the nice benefit about goth is that they do two things differently than emo. First they keep to themselves in public and two they generally try to avoid going out in public. Emos are simply the worst. They go out and make sure EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD KNOWS ABOUT THEIR PROBLEMS. Depressive emotions, especially if you are a guy, should be kept to yourself in private places. No self respecting man ever lets anyone know that he’s depressed. A man should be strong and if he isn’t he should at least put out the image that he is instead of pulling this emo bullshit.

Umm… theres a problem with the whole emo kid beat down day. This problem is that most people mistake guys that wear thight pants or girl pants are “Emo”

I love labeling people and how they label me… not… I’m FAR from emo. I love my life, I have a good job, a car, a roof over my head and food in my belly. Plus my wonderful wife. I’m only 19 years old. I worked for all that shit. Granted it was hard and emotions are a part of life but emo? Everyone is emo. You have emotions. Some people are more emotional than others but on the inside everyone had that spot of sadness and hate. I wear skinny jeans. I have lip a piercing. I’m not this so called emo. I wear skinny jeans cause I’m proud to be skinny. Everyone is fat these days. We should have a beat up fat kids day and roll Those fat ass’. Emo is everyone and everyone is emo. So this so called emo label get over it. I know shit will be said to this but I’m the neutral guy who says fuck u haters. You probably have bigger problems then these so called emo kids and only know how to express them through hurting others, where they hurt themselves instead.

This is rediculous. Emo beatdown day. This is so stupid.
To emos: ignore these people. They’re looking for attention and for a reaction, and if they’re real haters, still ignore them. And emo doesn’t just stand for EMOTIONAL. It stands for EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE. Just because you wear tight jeans and like the colour black and have your hair over your face doesn’t make you emo. I like all of that stuff and I’m definitly not emo. It’s the emotions BEHIND it that makes you emo. And I used to be depressed and as I said, emotionally unstable, but I still wasn’t emo. And whoever said this was right, if you’re cutting yourself, you need to get help. And there ARE emos who are emos to look for attention, and some just want to be noticed and cared about, and that’s what the attention is for, and some aren’t looking for attention at all. But I do think emo is a bit of a label. If you’re emo that’s fine, I don’t mind, but emo stands for EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE and even though you might like the emo STYLE doesn’t mean you have to be emo, and if you are emotionally unstable and need to get help, GET HELP. The label “emo” can make depression WORSE. E.g. You believe you’re depressed enough to be emo, you like the music you like the style, but you feel you have to cut yourself to live up to the label.
Just remember; being an actual emo has deep emotional feeling behind it, don’t fool yourself into being emo, and don’t do extreme things to self harm etc. for no reason.

I think everyone has lost the original meaning of emo. Emo started out as a music style with bands like The Clash and Jimmy Eat World. Society has made emo so much bigger than it started out as. In the beginning it was all about the music it didn’t matter what kind of person you were/are. If a group of people like certain fashions and styles who are we to call them emo, there are tons of emos out there that say their emo(posers)when they dont even know the history behind it. The scene people play a big roll in this aswell, they took emo and distorted its natural meaning, and turned it into a haircut and a pair of skinny jeans. Music is just music and emo is just emo and to the supposed “real” emos have the common sence of learning about what you’re calling yourself. A message to everyone especially The Hot Crew, wherever you go you will meet and see all different kinds of people and if you don’t like them for what they are dont just go and beat them up,violence never solved anything,we all have to live in this shitty world together, why not enjoy it while we still have the chance.

I personally don’t agree with people cutting themselves because I do believe that it’s unhealthy for you. But I don’t agree that a “National Beatdown” DAY is necessary. I mean, people that are actually taking time out of their day to beat someone up for the hell of it, ain’t cool. i have been called an emo, but I have no idea why. Didn’t your parents teach you the difference between right and wrong?
Beating on someone because they look and act differently than you is wrong. If they bother you so much then I suggest that you go out of your way to ignore/avoid them.
