It’s hip to hate the hip

June 1st, 2007 by Crza under archive, hate

T.O.N.Y does a anti-hipster article. I’m sensing some irony. Any way, this article claims to miss the old NY while it bashes these particular “consumers”. Come to think of it I miss the old NY too. I loved the shitty subways, I miss carrying a hammer in my sleeve while I walked to school, I miss the smell of garbage juice in the summer. I miss the ghetto camps in the summer were basically the counslers beat you. I miss having the family car broken into at least once a month. Yeah, I miss that stuff. Real NYers don’t miss the old NY. IF they say they do, they never lived in OLD NY. Believe that my friend. Of course I don’t back the corporate take over of NY but if another person says they miss the “old ny” I’m going to put a box cutter to their cheek. How’s that for old ny? Wow, talk about a rant…pardon me I must of ate some thing bad. Anyway, the article is entertaining.

I want to say one thing (besides what I just said). In order to comment on “hipsters” you yourself have to be a hipster. You don’t see non-golfers commenting on golfers. Right?

I hear the old O.C. (CA) was even crazier!

Are you referring to the strawberry farm wars or the clash of the strip mall fights. Shit got crazy then especially in Lake Forest
