thank you for bringing this important holiday to my attention. please note that as a Wisconsinite, i am technically a ‘cheese head’ myself and, i’d like to think i’m nice to my Dutch friends *every* day, but i digress.
tough to sum up why the Dutch are awesome. here are some things that come to mind: FEBO, vla met hagelslaag, Van Gogh, windmills, maaslander & leerdammer kaas, Amsterdam, Albert Heijn, klompen, NIDK, Heineken brouwerij tour, canals, tulips, bikes and Vondelpark.

They invented Nike Dunks, Apple Computers and Starbucks unique sizing terminology. I also read on the internet that they were the inspiration behind the Star Wars movies for Lucas and pals. They also were the first to land on the sun and build a under water city. Oh, and they were the first to talk to dolphins.
