February 8th, 2007 by huphtur under archive, lolcats, nerds, rss, siteCouple of days ago Nic informed me that there’s this douche that has been republishing some content of not only The Hot Crew but also of Pushingwood, Skateboarding Sucks, éS Footwear and Rob Brink. The douche also hot linked our images, which opened up some retaliation possibilities. All the affected site admins had a little power meeting and we decided to have a little nerd fun with the douche.
First I created a LOLcat. Image supplied (with approval of course) by the lovely Malingering. Who takes the coolest cat photos.
Then we synchronized our watches and at exactly 11am PST we all adjusted our Apache .htaccess file with a few simple lines. Now any hot linked image on the douche site is replaced by the LOLcat.

You should of got more vicious with the picture so he\’d have to take down the image and posts. I don\’t think he has enough ads on that page.
