Did any of you see this movie yet? Holy shit is it awesome. I’m not just saying that cause I played D&D as a kid but this flick is incredible. The reason it’s so good cause it’s dark and twisted. Not dark and retarded like Saw or any other of those shit horror films, it’s dark in a good way. I won’t spoil it for you but it’s a shocker. If you have kids…don’t bring them. Unless you want them crying all night and screaming for you to protect them from the monsters under their bed. This ain’t Harry Potter and the goblet of gobley-some-shit. This movie will have you on edge. The story is great, the action is great, the characters are great. Man; homies, this movie was proper! I know John Brown would back this movie. It’s not a movie it’s a entity. Some thing caught me off gaurd though which I didn’t know… I would tell ya but I don’t want to spoil it for you.

This dude at work brought his kids and they had to leave halfway cuz it got too scared for them. Imma go see it this week. I promise.

Checked it last nite. Really awesome movie. BUT… I got one point of critique. At the end they showed the girl talking to the treedude, then they switched to the captain’s viewpoint and treetrunk was gone. I wish they wouldn’t have shown that. Would have been more mysterious and would left left me with more questions.

i just listened to a really interesting interview with the writer/director, guillermo del toro, on npr’s “fresh air” last night. (fun fact: his grandmother exorcised him twice when he was a young child.) it’s worth checking out:

it’s one of the best movies I have seen in years. amazing.
