December 4th, 2006 by Crza under archive, skateboardingJust when I think skateboarding sucks I see some shit like this and it gets me stoked. The days of skateboarders being on the fringe are over and the new day of the mall-born-skateboarder are more prevalent then ever. However, this little gem gives me hope. Dear Skateboarding, I miss you.

eight of the trendiest tightpants skaters in the biz getting paid to do a tour-long ad for $20,000 motorcycles. keepin it real!

It could be worse. They could be doing a tour in a RV plastered with Mountain Dew and Cell phone logos. Sure it\’s a marketing technique on Emerica/Harleys behalf but at least it\’s with a brand that has roots in a fringe-type life style. For your information you can\’t buy a harley in the mall, just the clothes which is a license deal. The thing I liked was that it was bros on bikes skating. It was refreshing to see a tour that didn\’t involve power drinks, video games and phones. And, in terms of pants, at least they were wearing pants, right?
