ASR is the new Dunk

- Drink
- Drink more
- Hang with the sketchiest people you can find cause it will make a good story afterwards
- Walk the show and laugh at all the bullshit and then cry cause you feel bad for the people pedaling their crap
Ok, now here are some observations from this show:
- I’m over the Volcom themes, enough already
- More wacky skate inventions this year so skateboarding is back on top
- DVS had a beer garden that was super packed and really hard to get in
- Way more slutty girls this year. Sex sells skateboards apparently
- More Motorcross companies present. I guess Pacsun will be switching from skate to MX in the next year or so (mark my words)
- éS game of skate is actually still fun to watch. Some random german kid won (not even sponsored)
- Boost Mobile bought a huge section of the trade show floor and let smaller brands display their shit. Boost mobile logos everywhere. It was like a trade show inside a trade show. A good way to buy credibility I guess
- There were a bunch of parties but they all involved long lines, 1 hour of free drinks, loud music, 8 dudes for 1 girl….yeah it was awesome.
I wish I took photos but I suck and this is just a useless blog so I’m sorry…oh wait…I’m not sorry. Maybe some one will post their pictures or links to pictures.

Dude the conference seemed awesome. Was it good? Any thing worth mentioning here? Oh..I’ve been running google analytics and it’s so awesome. I’m hooked on that shit

Yeah the conference was badass. I kinda knew most of it already. But it was good hearing the people, whose blogs and books I’ve read, speak in RL. Specially Matt Mullenweg, the guy who started WordPress.
I stayed around for a few more days and hit some balls at the most illest course ever, and I also rented a bike! Which ruled, cuz cars in SF totally respect bikes. I Even got Miesj to bike! The guys at FTC are still laffin about that.

first asr!
it was aiiiiight. the etnies party was fun and me and tivo randomly saw the last 20 minutes of flogging molly while trolling for chicks. flickr only uploaded like half of the pictures i tried to upload, so there’s only a few http://www.flickr.com/photos/rel1sh/tags/asr06/
the alex kid that won was a fucking machine. crop duster style, but every goddamn trick imaginable. cole was shocked.
p.s. the guys at enjoi are awesome. pure ruckus in the hyatt lobby.
