- Please no more portrait shots of skateboarders. If you are a skater get that trick, if you are company don’t do portraits, it sucks.
- Be Relevant. Respecting the establishment is cool but skateboarding is about progression
- If you are getting paid as a pro or as an am be thankful for the opportunity cause there are a bunch of other kids dying for the chance. If you hate it then quit and get a regular job like the rest of us. Starbucks pays super good and has benefits.
- Once you make it out of the flow ranks you still actually have to skate. Go figure.
Love it or leave it.

I understand pro and ams get hurt and get burnt on skating. It goes from a passion to a job and that transition really fucks shit up. I’m just tired of pro and am skaters complaining. My new response is…”just quit”. As far the excuses go there a few that really hold any weight. The only one I accept now is: “Skating sucks, I’m over it”.

When I lived in LA I was so suprised at how lazy Pro skaters are. I once caleld a pro that I was supposed to meet a lockwood on a saturday and he said he had a hair appointment. Don’t they know that the weekend is a pro skater’s work week? I got jaded real quick trying to film pros.

Brink use to skate but now collects photoChops of himself. That’s amazing some one cancelled for a hair appointment. In the grand scheme of things it really doesn’t matter…skating is skating. I just wish shit was little bit more legit.

I just work on my site when I get kicked out of the park for no shoulderpads or shinguards or the BMXers are there. Notice how most of the PhotoChops have some sort of gay innuendo to them…where does that even come from? Craig I made a dope photochop of you and a Giraffe once. It was the first one i ever made in my life. Do you still have it?

Brink I don’t have it…I don’t even remember it. There were so many floating around the éS office. Willi-Buttaz is really good with the photochopping. I skated the other night..man was I rusty but I found a fellow shredder that knows spots that don’t involve hopping fences…I’m stoked. “I use to skate but then I moved to LA”. Let’s make a list of shredders that actually still do it and are actually pushing it.
