F#ck your cars
June 13th, 2006 by Crza under archive, carsWell, I’m thinking of buying a new car. I’m sort of giving in to the monster that is the “LA Lifestyle”. People told me when I moved here I would become a victim and I assured them they didn’t know me. Then again I said I would never move to Cali (born and raised in NYC) and now look. Anyhoot, my sick ride doesn’t want to roll with me anymore, I think it’s jealous of all the nice cars it sees on the road. So what’s my point you ask? Shit, who gives a fuck, it’s a blog. Since we are in tune with the youth market I want to see what kind of car they think I should get. Now, listen here tree huggers if I could ride my bike I would just do that but that shit don’t fly in LA. Here’s what I’m thinking so far (of course I can’t afford any of these so that makes it so awesome; f#ck)
- Audi A3 Wagon (Yuppi all the way but I love wagons)
- Subaru WRX Wagon (small and is badass)
- Toyota Hybrid Highlander (SUV cause I need the room)
- Toyota Hybrid Prius (Huphz’ is pretty rad and I can put a bike rack on that)
Give me some suggestions people, help a brotha’ out.

next prius version is supposed to be 100mpg and turbocharged! i think that mileage finally makes it the first hybrid that will truely save you money over the long haul.

This is the only sticker on my Prius. And yes, bugs have been fixed, a simple ROM Flash did the trick. Also, you can hax0r yur Prius pretty easy. And this iPod interface looks dope. Maybe I will have to buy an iPoop after all.

Dude that 100 mpg just made my nipples pop out. Living in this town you need all the mileage you can get. Gas out in LA is 3.19. Nic I like the truck and it will fit in just right in the OC. The a3 is a banger but Huphz’ makes a good point with all the side shit hybrids can get. I just hope I get a sticker that incorporates anti-bush, no war, support our troops, never forget, save our parks and a slogan that says “my boston terrier is smarter than your honor student”. Hybrids seem to be winning this discussion. I just hope I can fight the smugness

I bought a single speed road bike. F#ck cars. Since moving to Cali I miss the ease of just riding your bike around town or taking the subway. Unfortunately I will need a new car (eventually) but I’m going to wait until the last minute.

I originally wanted a single gear mtb (yeah I ride MTB’s) but I couldn’t find one that wasn’t over 1,000. I found one that was $500 but I had to special order it. THEN…I saw some site talking about the Giant Bowery. $490 and built for the streets (more relaxed geometery, slightly bigger tires etc). My local bike shop had one so I took it for a test ride and loved it. I’m going to make adjustments of course but it’s pretty rad right out of the box. The Bowery Nic, you ride bikes?

Yeah. Right now I’m riding a Kona Smoke. Not amazing, but for the money it comes pretty loaded. I just scraped off all the decals so the entire thing is flat black (great for getting hit at night).
